I love my apartment and my view from my apartment. My apartment managers are pretty great when it comes down to anything. I appreciate them for giving me and my boyfriend a chance to live here.

This place is something else. I don't even know where to start. I have been treated like garbage by the women working in the office, the only time they ever contacted me was to threaten me with fines, and this persisted past me moving out. I was called and told that if I didn't hand over my keys (they only gave me one) that I would be billed daily, but they never called me to tell me they mailed out my security deposit (which they mailed it to their own apartment building that i no longer live at or have access to) which I had to go in in person to find all this out. I then find out they took all but $481 of my $1740 security deposit, billing me for every possible thing they could to ensure I get as little of my security deposit back as possible. I'm a honest guy, if I broke it or I damaged it I wouldn't deny it and would gladly pay up, this isn't the case. A couple examples: I was charged 450 dollars for them to repaint the apartment, which talking to the office there is no proof they even painted it in years. Another example they charged me to clean carpets like it is standard practice, but I have it documented my carpets were stained when I moved in. These are just a few examples of them trying to beat money out of me at their last possible opportunity, not to mention the fact my bill from them has never been the same amount from month to month, or that they have roaches. I haven't gotten my money back yet and if she sees this post I probably never will, but at least I will know I helped someone even if it cost me.

Sick of all the entrance ways and halls being gross and full of trash. Never do the clean they are horrible at cleaning the buildings. They have bedbugs for a reason. And if you complain nothing gets done just get charged for no reason. It would be nice if they actually cared about the people that have been here for years. If the offer you a incentive the will take it back and charge you extra for reasons unknown with no documentation or even saying way. I have to call and complain all the time and still nothing laundry room is disgusting and they tell you to call company cause they don't have anything to do with them. I am so upset about the things they should be doing and don't.. They wi make sure you are told what you owe and if you don't pay the will tak on more fees and won't help whatsoever.

Do not live here. Management really are a bunch of theives. They will tell you that you never paid rent even when you can bring a bank statement showing that they took the money out of your account. That payment will often include them charging a late fee no matter how early you pay. I’m serious they will just take an extra $100 out of your and call it a late fee whenever they feel like then play dumb when you go to the office. Major problem number 2 is the condition of the building and the unwillingness to fix it. Power, water and heat are out regularly and maintenance comes at their convenience because those aren’t “basic needs” they must meet. The ceiling in the bathroom collapsed and that somehow was my fault. The kitchen light wasn’t installed correctly and randomly fell out of the ceiling and the stairs to the upper level apartments collapsed under one of my neighbors.

I've lived here, in a two bedroom apartment, for about two years now. I won't argue that this is the best place to live or anything, but overall, they aren't bad for what you pay. If you're looking for a place to live, I'll give you my long-winded take on things, because I feel that the other reviews haven't all been very fair or detailed. There are definitely some negatives to living here. My primary issue with these apartments is that the buildings are old. Due to the buildings being old, the single-pane windows don't do a lot for keeping the cold out, there's always a draft if it is cold and windy outside. Further, since the buildings are old, all of the heating is baseboard heating. During some of the more extreme, cold, windy days, trying to keep my apartment warm has honestly been a futile effort, between the old windows and the baseboard heating. My final gripe with the old buildings is that it seems that things break a lot more often. All of my appliances are old, and I've had some minor issues with the stove. I've had issues with my baseboard heating, which resulted in parts having to be replaced. The water heater for my building went out and had to be replaced. On that note, most of the aforementioned issues are to be expected with the age of this building so I don't hold it against Spring Creek, and they have actually repaired things in a prompt manner (most of the time), with most of the maintenance people I've dealt with being really awesome and helpful. I should also mention that there are benefits to living here: - As I mentioned, the maintenance guys are cool and get things done. - The grounds are kept decent, in my opinion. - The apartment was super clean when we moved in, with new paint and new carpeting, but I think that was mostly because the last tenant messed them up pretty bad. - Another reviewer mentioned having had issues with bed bugs, but I've never had any issues with them. However, for the past year or two, I have been battling a non-insignificant number of German roaches. I believe some wonderful neighbor brought them a year or two ago. I'm not happy about this, but I'm doing my best to keep them from coming into my unit. - I can't speak for the other buildings, but all of my neighbors are quiet and respectful. - The neighborhood feels safe. - Laundry on every floor. It costs quarters, but it's still cool that they're provided and close by - The rent is inexpensive compared to comparable places in comparable neighborhoods - Location is pretty good (especially for students at UCCS) Overall, my experience at the Spring Creek Apartments is different than that of the 1-star reviewers here, so I guess take all the reviews with a grain of salt. These apartments aren't luxurious, and they're not really meant to be. They're old, but they're safe and inexpensive. The management changes often, so some are bound not to be great, but if you're a decent tenant, you probably won't be dealing with them often anyway. I would recommend these apartments to college students first and foremost, but also to those who just need a decent but inexpensive place to live.

I have lived, visited, and been in MANY apartments across this city my WHOLE life and honestly these are NOT bad for the price. Big and spacious is. I like the Big closets and nice bathrooms. Having laundry on every floor is nice. All of my maintenance issues were addressed promptly. Never an issue with anyone in the office. Truly hard to beat the price for the location and size.

Lots of cigarette smoking inside the building. There is lot of sketchy people that wander inside the building. Had homeless people knocking on my door asking for coffee. Had some drunk guy banging on my door for some water. People from across the street bring their dogs over to go to bathroom and never pickup their poop. Back light of building broke and no one fixed it had my car broken into and radio ripped out. The water goes from hot to cold fast enough to nearly give you a heart attack. Said they fixed the water heater, thinking they lied. The windows in this place are one pane said they were going to replace them months ago. For your own safety and health I would strongly turn away from this place of filth.
