I've lived here, in a two bedroom apartment, for about two years now. I won't argue that this is the best place to live or anything, but overall, they aren't bad for what you pay. If you're looking for a place to live, I'll give you my long-winded take on things, because I feel that the other reviews haven't all been very fair or detailed. There are definitely some negatives to living here. My primary issue with these apartments is that the buildings are old. Due to the buildings being old, the single-pane windows don't do a lot for keeping the cold out, there's always a draft if it is cold and windy outside. Further, since the buildings are old, all of the heating is baseboard heating. During some of the more extreme, cold, windy days, trying to keep my apartment warm has honestly been a futile effort, between the old windows and the baseboard heating. My final gripe with the old buildings is that it seems that things break a lot more often. All of my appliances are old, and I've had some minor issues with the stove. I've had issues with my baseboard heating, which resulted in parts having to be replaced. The water heater for my building went out and had to be replaced. On that note, most of the aforementioned issues are to be expected with the age of this building so I don't hold it against Spring Creek, and they have actually repaired things in a prompt manner (most of the time), with most of the maintenance people I've dealt with being really awesome and helpful. I should also mention that there are benefits to living here: - As I mentioned, the maintenance guys are cool and get things done. - The grounds are kept decent, in my opinion. - The apartment was super clean when we moved in, with new paint and new carpeting, but I think that was mostly because the last tenant messed them up pretty bad. - Another reviewer mentioned having had issues with bed bugs, but I've never had any issues with them. However, for the past year or two, I have been battling a non-insignificant number of German roaches. I believe some wonderful neighbor brought them a year or two ago. I'm not happy about this, but I'm doing my best to keep them from coming into my unit. - I can't speak for the other buildings, but all of my neighbors are quiet and respectful. - The neighborhood feels safe. - Laundry on every floor. It costs quarters, but it's still cool that they're provided and close by - The rent is inexpensive compared to comparable places in comparable neighborhoods - Location is pretty good (especially for students at UCCS) Overall, my experience at the Spring Creek Apartments is different than that of the 1-star reviewers here, so I guess take all the reviews with a grain of salt. These apartments aren't luxurious, and they're not really meant to be. They're old, but they're safe and inexpensive. The management changes often, so some are bound not to be great, but if you're a decent tenant, you probably won't be dealing with them often anyway. I would recommend these apartments to college students first and foremost, but also to those who just need a decent but inexpensive place to live.

I have lived, visited, and been in MANY apartments across this city my WHOLE life and honestly these are NOT bad for the price. Big and spacious is. I like the Big closets and nice bathrooms. Having laundry on every floor is nice. All of my maintenance issues were addressed promptly. Never an issue with anyone in the office. Truly hard to beat the price for the location and size.

Lots of cigarette smoking inside the building. There is lot of sketchy people that wander inside the building. Had homeless people knocking on my door asking for coffee. Had some drunk guy banging on my door for some water. People from across the street bring their dogs over to go to bathroom and never pickup their poop. Back light of building broke and no one fixed it had my car broken into and radio ripped out. The water goes from hot to cold fast enough to nearly give you a heart attack. Said they fixed the water heater, thinking they lied. The windows in this place are one pane said they were going to replace them months ago. For your own safety and health I would strongly turn away from this place of filth.

I have lived here for 4 years now and this place has went from a decent place to live to an absolute slum. The management changes about as frequently as the seasons, the service techs that they have come out have a very basic knowledge and usually have to fix things several times before they work correctly, the pipes in the shower vibrate because of the water pressure and eventually the handles loosen in the shower and come off unexpectedly, and the tenants have went from decent families, college kids going to UCCS to drug dealers (one lives on the floor above me, confirmed by a "friend" of mine that bought from him) to people rolling joints in the laundry room.... As far as the the features in the apartments themselves, the windows rattle every time the wind blows (when I moved in I was told "we will be replacing ALL the windows that summer), dishwasher doesn't clean anything so you have to hand wash everything. Closet in the bedroom pops out of the track every time you open it. The baseboard heater covers pop off the second you bump them and never clip back on properly, most are bent and needing replaced. On a plus, the window air conditioner in my unit at least works well. This place has become as bad as the slums on S. Murray, STAY AWAY!! No one should be this desperate, especially since they have jacked up the prices to like 795/month for a 2 bedroom...

Worst apartments ever. There are so many different problems with this place. One, we got bed bugs and I've never had that problem in my life so they had to do a cleaning once a week for 3 weeks. Two, a pipe busted and started flooding our apartment. They ended up telling us we needed to leave for 30 days. We are the type of people with barley and friends or family so we had no where to go. They finally told us they had a tiny 1 bedroom apartment at another location we could stay at and when I say tiny, I mean tinnyyy. This incident happened in September 2016, it is now March 2017 and we are still not back in our old apartment and half of our belongings are still there. I've tried to call the manager several times and she has not gave me a response back. I've spoken to the staff where I'm staying at now and they have no idea about it either. I am beyond fed up with this place. Please save yourself.

Don't apply here! I submitted my application and they rejected it and refused to return my deposit, though is said they'd return it in the application. $300 down the drain, I've been back to talk to them several times and they've been very rude to me and simply don't care about my problems. Reading the other reviews I'd say you should avoid this place at all costs, it sounds like they need to be shut down.

Currently a resident and have been since Spring of 2013. Once my lease is up I will no longer be a resident nor will I ever refer anyone to live here. Management is all out for the money. A couple years ago I would put a maintenance request in and it would get fixed with no questions asked. Now they charge you for every little thing possible and will install them even after you ask them not to. I am fed up with living here, it's horrible.

Lived here for about a year. About halfway through my first year, new management came in and so far I've been very happy with them. They're a significant upgrade over who was running the office before.

What a joke. This place will rob you blind. The rent is $790 (been here 5 years) with all of the fees, the pre payment of my utilities for August and the threat of another fee, my rent totalled $1024 this month. The useless office crew refers you to "Corporate." Mystery fee after mystery fee. It took over one year to get my dishwasher replaced, I have holes in my sub-floor that has been on record since 2015. This place is a joke. Management changes hands every couple of months.
